Sound Memory Game
The viral sound memory game by Dialed. Hear five tones. Recreate them from memory. How good is your ear?
Dialed Sound is a free sound memory game in your browser — no signup, no downloads. We play a sequence of five tones, then you try to recreate each one from memory by sliding a frequency dial across the audible range. Each round scores up to 10 points based on how perceptually close your pitch is to the original, for a maximum total of 50.
Play solo to test your pitch recall, challenge a friend with a shared link (you both hear the same five tones and compete to score closer), or take on the global daily sound challenge where everyone on Earth gets the same five tones and one shot per day. Difficulty tiers — Easy, Hard, and Brutal — change how long you hear each tone and how tight the scoring curve gets.
Scoring uses ERB-rate perceptual frequency distance, the human-hearing model from psychoacoustics research, instead of raw Hz. It accounts for the fact that you hear pitch logarithmically — a 50 Hz miss at 200 Hz matters far more than a 50 Hz miss at 2000 Hz. A score above 40 means your ear for pitch is sharper than 90% of players.
Also known as: sound matching game, pitch memory game, frequency memory game, ear test, audio memory game, pitch recall quiz, sound quiz. Sister games: Color Memory Game (recreate colors from memory) and Time Memory Game (recreate durations from memory).
